The Terrace on the Strand is a splendid traditional restaurant, situated in the bustling geographical centre of London, but with an air about it of a well kept secret; tranquil, leisurely and for the pleasure of those discerning enough to be “in the know”.
Part of the Guoman Charing Cross Hotel, the Terrace on the Strand retains its original mosaic inlaid floors, high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows which manage to combine High Victoriana with a lightsome air – quite an achievement. Guests can enjoy superb views over the Strand, Trafalgar Square and the historic Eleanor Cross.
While this may be the most English of settings, the menu features finest cuisine from around the world.
And given the care lavished on the surroundings, it should come as no surprise that all our dishes are prepared using only the very best seasonal ingredients.
The menu includes Lemon sole Meunière, Noisettes of lamb marinated with fine herbs, Corn fed chicken supreme, Parma ham,
Roasted wild sea bass, Traditional battered cod & chips,
Roasted venison filet and Char grilled Scottish sirloin steak.
Needless to say, desserts are designed to ruin the girlish figure, and one would hope so too.
At the Strand, one is so well looked after.
Average price per head: 2 course dinner £21.95. 3 course dinner £25.95.
