Thai Square Restaurant 148 The Strand London WC2 United Kingdom
Tube: Charing Cross
The décor of Thai Square makes good use of plants and the main body of the restaurant is otherwise broken up into smaller areas. There are some rich fabric wall hangings and fine Thai wood carvings. For a central London location the menu is reasonably priced and provides a range of dishes for the accomplished Thai palate. The Thai dim sum is a speciality of the house and as one might expect main dishes include green, red and jungle curries based on beef, venison or chicken. These mains are £7.95 each with pan fried main courses e.g. drunken duck costing £8.95 to £12.00. Other specialities are phed makham (duck with tamarind) and chu chee goon (King prawns and dried curry). The basement club and bar complete a venue suitable for all day and all night wining and dining. Thai music and dancing are featured throughout.
